Watertown kept things interesting early as they only trailed 5-3 after six innings. Unfortunately for the the Rapids they couldn’t overcome the large deficit. Nolan Wilson and Daniel Little homered in the eighth and ninth inning but it wasn’t enough.

Rapids will look to bounce back tomorrow against the Adirondack Trail Blazers on the road before hosting the Blazers in a double-header starting at 5:05 p.m. Tuesday night. Despite the loss the Rapids remain seven games over .500 at 14-7 and still hold the lead in the Central Division.
