Watertown, NY - May 25, 2018 - When Watertown Rapids baseball fans come to The Alex T. Duffy Fairgrounds this season, they will not only be treated to exciting baseball, but an exciting food and beverage experience as well.
The Rapids announced today that the folks at Skewed Brewing, a local independently owned craft brewery and restaurant, will be running the concessions operation at the ballpark, bringing with them their famous “Made in New York” menu. Fans will get to savor some of the best gourmet ballpark fare in the country, including Skewed’s Silver Medal Pale Ale, The Juice, other craft beers, as well as standard popular beverages. The ballpark food will feature Skewed Brewing’s delicious sausage sandwiches, as well as offering traditional fan favorites.
The award winning Skewed Brewing craft brewery is operated by Ryan and Cheryl Chaif. It is conveniently located in the Salmon Run Mall where it first opened four years ago and quickly became a local favorite. It will be operating the ballpark concession in the 2018 season as NY Craft Concessions.
Rapids General Manager Brandon Noble said “Baseball is a multi-sensory experience, so the Rapids are proud to be able to offer our fans not only the sights of great action on the field, but the smells and taste of great food and beverage that Skewed Brewing will provide this summer. “
Skewed Brewing owner Cheryl Chaif added, “we are proud to partner with the Rapids to bring to the Watertown community some great evenings of family entertainment.”
The Rapids are entering their inaugural season, joining the prestigious Perfect Game Collegiate Baseball League. The home opener is June 2 at 7:05pm. For information check out watertown-rapids.com
