Screen Shot 2018-07-30 at 11.21.41 PM.jpgWatertown came into Monday night’s game with many playoff outcomes on the line. Onecommon theme in most scenarios was the Rapids getting a win and they did just that. Watertown has one game remaining tomorrow night and they have playoffs in their sights.

Samuel Neal provided the Rapids with three RBI’s, while William Heurtin hit a homerun over
the left field wall in the third inning. Ben Maycock’s RBI double in the bottom of the sixth
brought in what would be the winning run. Matt Rubayo hit a homerun and had three RBI’s for
the Trail Blazers in the loss.

Utica won both games in a doubleheader against Oneonta Monday, so the Rapids must win
Tuesday night to make the playoffs. The Rapids will be having a fan appreciation night to
conclude the regular season at home. Watertown will look to send fans traveling to Mohawk
Valley in support of a playoff run with a win tomorrow night, game time set for 7:05 p.m.
