The Rapids saw their winning streak come to an end Monday night as the team fell to Glens Falls
by a score of 10-4. Watertown kept it close going into the sixth inning only trailing 5-3. The leadScreen Shot 2018-07-16 at 10.13.48 PM.jpg
for the Dragons rose quickly as they piled on five more runs in the sixth and seventh innings.

Tom Taplin gave the Dragons six strong innings and picked up the win. Matt Hamel went 2-4
with 3 RBI’s for Glens Falls. Nick Bosma homered in the sixth inning for Watertown which
made it a three run again. Addison Pawelek pitched six innings in the loss, while teammate Mike
Russell made some outstanding plays in the field.

The Rapids head into All-Star break tied with Utica for second place in the Central Division,
remaining 2.5 games behind Mohawk Valley. Watertown will be sending eight All-Stars, the
most in the PGCBL, Wednesday night in Elmira. The Rapids return home Friday for Military
Night as the team will continue its playoff push.
