Tuesday night was one the Rapids will want to put behind them as they continue on an importanthome stretch. Watertown dropped both games Tuesday in it’s double header against the
Adirondack Trail Blazers.
Watertown’s bats and fielding were off today as the team combined for just four runs in two
games. While five errors in game two certainly didn’t help the Rapids cause. Jon Iadevaia had
two RBI’s in game two, while teammate Lucas Stalman hit a three-run homerun in game one.
Alex Mumme of the Rapids hit two sacrifice fly’s in the second game. Jack Buckely turned in a
solid five and a third innings of work allowing only one run in game one’s loss.
With the loss, Watertown has fallen out of first place in the Central Division for the first time in
nearly in a month. On a positive note for the Rapids, they get a much needed day off tomorrow
before taking on division foes Utica and Mohawk Valley on Thursday and Friday night
respectively. Friday’s game is a double header starting at 5:05 which will serve as a huge set of
games in determining the division leader.
